Description

New England, early 19th century, birch and pine. Boldly carved and turned posts, shaped headboard, and retaining its original red and black, faux rosewood paint decoration. Posts are 6.75" high, outside dimensions are 51.5" wide, 75.5" long. Ex Jim Dawson (Kentucky), sold at Garth's Auctions, October 22, 2004, lot 92; ex Austin Miller (Ohio).

Condition

Minor wear, original rails, lacking canopy. NOTE: a barely-used custom-made mattress and box spring is available, for free, to the buyer of this bed.
