CONGO. LUBA TRIBE.1900/1950 AD. KATANGA CROSS USED LIKE CURRENCY. X SHAPE BRONZE 606 gr. - 21x20,5x1 cm. RARE. Katanga cross, also called "handa", is a cast copper cross which was once used as a form of currency in parts of what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Katanga crosses were made in various sizes, typically about 20 cm (8 inches).
