Title: PARKER: No. 47 Pregnant Parker" Lucky Curve Fountain Pen
Place Published: Mother-of-Pearl Panels"
Publisher:USA
Date Published: c.1906
Description: No. 47 Lucky Curve eyedropper-filler fountain pen, mother-of-pearl panels, highly-repoussé floral-pattered gold-filled cap and barrel bands, black hard rubber endpiece and section. 135mm. No. 3 Lucky Curve keyhole-vent nib, slight flex. Very fine condition; the gold is bright and unblemished, the cartouche is free of engravings, the imprints are exceptionally crisp, the black hard rubber section and endpiece are lightly faded, and the mother-of-pearl panels are flawless. The pen is in its original unrestored condition.
The "Pregnant Parker" earned its nickname due to the graceful curvature of its barrel. While not as rare as the Parker No. 60 "Aztec", it is by far the most sought-after of the early Parker eyedroppers. Its aesthetic virtues have led many enthusiasts to deem it the most beautiful pen ever made.***********************
