Little Big Horn Artifact Display [George A. Custer]

A fragment of a leather boot sole, approximately 1" on its longest side, affixed to a custom 8 x 10" presentation display featuring a to-scale photograph of the full sole. Boot sole fragment clipped from the original 3 x 7" leather boot sole. The boot top was cut off by a warrior.

Found in 1997 at Reno's Timber Fight Line. Accompanied by a copy (front and back) of the original L.O.A. from Jason Pitsch, President of The Reno Battlefield Museum, indicating it is "From Custer's Last Stand Found on the Reno Battlefield and Sitting Bull's Camp."
