Description

Two memento mori desk weights after Jean-Baptiste Clesinger, the first titled Rien !! with an owl upon a skull, the second with an owl upon a tortoise, both incised J. Clesinger, Marnyhac 1 Rue De La Paix and dated 1867 and 1868, both upon canted marble bases, tallest 12.5cm

Condition Report:

The owl and tortoise is missing fastening pins so swivels on the base.
Both are affixed to the marble bases, which both have nibble chips
Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
