A 18th century bronze bell by Robert Wells of Aldbourne Foundry, Wiltshire, marked R. Wells Aldbourne Fecit, height 42cm, diameter 34cm
Provenance - believed to have come from Whitley Abbey. The vendors grandfather was a game keeper at Whitley Abbey (Coventry) in the 1920s and lived in the Water Mill on the estate. At the time, it was owned by Lord and Lady Peertree.
