Description
Very fine rosewood writing slope which is signed at the interior by William Tupper of Charleston, South Carolina and under his name is drawn a confederate flag and CSA. Tupper was part of the 18th Georgia Battalion which helped defend Charleston from 1863-1865. 22756 is also written three different times within the box. The is also a board at the interior carved with the letter T. Brilliant surviving possession from this important period in Charleston.
