Made by the Ives, Blakeslee Company. Bridgeport, Ct. - 1880's - 9 1/2" Tall. From the collection of Louis Hertz. This toy was handheld, suspended from a short chain from the top of his head. In this way, a child could make him appear to dance his way across the floor or a table top.
