H. 12.5 cm. Plaster, glazed brown, imitating patinated bronze. Base marked: M. MOLITOR LEIPZIG (embossed).
Condition
The painter and sculptor Mathieu Molitor (Pickliessem 1873-1929 Leipzig) came to art via second-chance education. His most famous works include the two groups of figures 'Mephistopheles and Faust' and 'Enchanted Students' at the entrance to the famous Leipzig restaurant Auerbachs Keller.
