Description: Magnificent 19th-century oil painting by Edmund John Niemann depicting Pen Maen Mawr facing Anglesey. Outstanding panoramic picture towards Anglesey, showing vacationers relaxing on the rocks, ships sailing in the distance, and an impending storm. both inscribed and signed. An exceptional early image of the area and a prime example of the painter's work. Dimensions: approximately 50" by 35" with framing; sold at Bonhams, London, 18 September 2008, lot 48.
