Gilt bronze, 0.42” (10.8mm) width. C form, 2.20” inside dimension. Raised rectangular bordered panel with “star burst” decoration flanked by elongated lenticular segments enclosing foliate motif. The end with raised segments matching the middle and depressed tips. The surface with degradation from burial periodically obscuring the decoration. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for modern wear. Hand crafted and worn by a Viking 1000 years ago!
