Biography from the Archives of askART: Beth Forst has been a professional oil painter since 1998 working from her studio in Noblesville, Indiana. Born in Indiana in 1958. Beth has had studios around Indianapolis area and Noblesville for many years. Traveling has been ultimately. Her distinct style has developed from her travels throughout US, Mexico, Canada and abroad. The theme of water, oceans, rivers and lakes are her inspiration. Her preoccupation with gardening has fueled her delight in creating painted still life from all that she grows. In 1983 Beth Forst graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelors of Science in Fine Arts. Her art career has been one of diversity, from graphic arts sales, printing representative, stained glass artist, mural artist, sculptor, portrait artist, to an impressionist oil and acrylic painter. Plein air painting oceanside in Maine, Massachusetts, California , Florida, Southern and Northern France, and the Italian Amalfi Coast has lead to a rich collection of waterworks. Being an avid gardener for many years has also lead to a colorful and rich floral theme. Her work can be seen in the Richmond Art Museum, corporate collections and galleries, as well as the Governor?s mansion of Indiana.
