Stacy, North Carolina, circa 1987, carved and painted wood, glass eyes, signed and dated.
Length 15.5 in.
Fulcher, the son of Charlie Fulcher, was born in Stacy, North Carolina. He grew up in Piney Point and spent his life on the water. After retirement, he and Alvin Harris taught woodcarving at Carteret Community College. He was the first featured carved at the Core Sound Decoy Festival. He was the key voice in the documentary film Core Values directed by Quinn Collins.
