Chincoteague, Virginia, circa 1981, carved and painted wood, glass eyes, carved wing details, bottom of bill signed JC REED 81 with JC REED branded on bottom.
Length 18.5 in.
Wind relief carving and incredible paint. Reed began making decoys in 1912 and soon became one of the most respected artists and decoy makers from the eastern shore of Virginia.
