Wiley "Rat" Moseley (1899-1976), Published Coot
Pungo, Virginia Back Bay, circa 1940s, carved and painted wood, branded WJM, published on page 33 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.
Length 10.25 in.
Rat worked at the Pellitory Gunning Club and the Pocahontas Fowling Club and later worked as a guide at the Sand Bridge Club. He was also a bootlegger and operated five stills. Three of his stills were raided but the elusive Rat Moseley was never caught!
