Chincoteague, Virginia, circa 1920, carved and painted wood.
Length 25.5 in.
Body appears to have been made from an old telegraph pole. The heavy body sports a prominent neck shelf. This is an early goose.

Original paint with moderate gunning wear, working repair to neck, bill is a partial replacement by Russ Allen, multiple age checks with heavy check on bottom.
