Havre de Grace, Maryland, circa 1900, carved and painted wood.
Length 13.5 in.
James was the youngest of John "Daddy" Holly's three sons. He was a boat builder by trade but is best known for his stunning black ducks.

Condition

Original paint worn to bare wood in places, tight crack on the right side of the neck.
