Lot of 2 Art Deco pieces. Including: George Switzer for Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company aluminum and micarta cocktail tray, American, 1932. Art Deco design in micarta aluminum rimmed and handled cocktail tray with a nautical motif. An example of this piece is currently in the Carnegie Museum of Art permanent collection. 12.25 x 18.25 inches; Aluminum and plastic compote designed by Lurelle Van Arsdale Guild (American, 1898?1985) for Kensington Ware, Inc. (New Kensington, Pennsylvania, 1934?1965; a subsidiary of Alcoa, Pittsburgh, 1888-present) American, designed in 1934. Stratford series, model 7411. In production until the end of WWII. An example of this piece is currently in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 6 x 13.25 inches.
Condition
In overall good vintage condition, apart from some usage related wear and scratches. Accretions at underside.
