Description
North America, Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Thule Peoples, ca. 10th to 15th centuries CE. A wonderful and rare group of nearly-fossilized walrus ivory tusk tools in the form of axes and adzes. All crafted from walrus tusks and designed to be attached to wooden hafts. The largest one doubles as a fire-starter or bow-drill base. The patina on each is stunning! Size of largest: 5.5" L x 2" W (14 cm x 5.1 cm)
