Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Chihuahua region, Casas Grandes, ca. 1100 to 1450 CE. A group of 2 hand-built pottery Casas Grandes artifacts including a utilitarian ladle - with deep scoop and solid handle - as well as a sizable pottery jar of round-bottomed form with a flared rim. Size of largest (jar): 8.66" W x 8" H (22 cm x 20.3 cm); (ladle): 6.8" L x 2.7" W x 1.375" H (17.3 cm x 6.9 cm x 3.5 cm)
Provenance: private Reinsmoen collection, Clear Lake, Iowa, USA, acquired through descent from Robert Anderson, acquired prior to 2000
