The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior coated canvas is clean and beautiful throughout with light creasing and rubbing to the corners. The leather trim and handles have developed a nice medium patina with rubbing at the bottom corners. The handles have darkened a bit and have scuffing and light rubbing. The hardware is bright and crisp with hairline surface scratches and the bottom metal feet have fading at the centers. The interior is clean with some light rubbing and a perfume scent.
