Description
A maiolica albarello, c.1500, Central Italian, possibly Romagna or the Marches, of slightly waisted cylindrical form, the front painted in blue and orange with tulips and fruit, 12cm wide 18cm high Provenance: The Collection of Hermann Baer (1898-1977); thence by descent to the present owner. Condition Report: There are some small glaze/paint chips to the decoration at the front, around the rim and around the foot. Hairline crack to rim extending into the body.
