Description
A George III tea caddy, c.1790, the flared and hinged cover surmounted with an acorn finial over an octagonal urn body, possibly veneered in snakewood, with boxwood and specimen geometric banding, enclosing a covered interior, the cover with an ivory finial, with key, 10cm wide 25.5cm high Provenance: The David Morris Collection. IMPORTANT NOTE This lot contains elephant ivory material.
