A Charles II oyster-veneered olivewood and parquetry longcase clock, c.1680, with an eight-day movement striking on a bell, the 10-inch brass dial set with a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, with a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, inscribed 'Stephen Willmott, London', the hood with a moulded cornice and a pair of twisted column pilasters, above a long door with crossbanded and inlaid decoration, with a glass bullseye lenticle, raised on a plinth base, 40.5cm wide 22cm deep 206cm high Provenance: A private collection, Hertfordshire.
