A black lacquered and parcel-gilt workbox, 19th century, Chinese export, of shaped rectangular form, the hinged cover enclosing a removable tray with lidded compartments and ivory sewing accoutrements, the exterior decorated with chinoiserie scenes of figures, the front with a secretaire drawer, all raised on paw feet, 34cm wide 25cm deep 13cm high Provenance: The Collection of the late Rosemary and Theo Cutting.
