746 十八世紀 白玉羊首花形洗
L17cm
白玉質，潔白光澤，取整塊無瑕美玉掏膛挖製，滑膩如羊 脂，厚實緻密。洗呈海棠花式，中部掏膛，拋光打磨平 滑，外壁口沿處刻如意紋一周，每一瓣面淺浮雕紋飾，有 山羊、祥雲托日、雲紋等，取意祥瑞，裝飾方式頗為新 穎別致。洗一側雕琢羊首為柄，面部呈三角形，雙眼稍呈 菱形，眼尾出梢，鼻樑堅挺。螺旋捲長雙角後伸，嘴閉合 微露笑意，頜下鬍鬚細密飄逸，作回首姿態，神情篤定安 詳，雕琢極為寫實逼真。
清中期，中國玉器無論數量或品質皆達到前所未有高峰。 乾隆二十四年（1759 年），清廷平定準噶爾回部，開啟玉 路，為玉器的鼎盛時代奠定基礎。 清代玉質文房器具中，筆洗的造型最為豐富多彩，多以水 生植物和瓜果造型為主，或輔以動物造型。以羊為主題之 創作，蘊含深厚文化淵源與吉祥寓意。羊通古「祥」字， 古代祥字常寫作「吉羊」。南朝宋《元嘉刀銘》：「宜侯王， 大吉祥」。漢銅器上常見有「吉羊」、「大吉羊」文字裝飾。 西漢大儒董仲舒云：「羊，祥也，故吉禮用之。」而羊字又 通「陽」，有萬物復蘇之吉祥寓意。羊首玉洗之造型可見北 京故宮博物院庋藏清中期〈玉羊首洗〉，與本品甚 為相似，可資參考。本件玉洗造型寫實，海棠花式線條流 暢，寓意美好，除作文房用具外，亦可作精美陳設品。
