Description
A pair of Chinese silver vases, each of slim, baluster form with flared rim, having foliate and foliage embossing to central band, and conforming engraving to upper body, with twin, scrolled handles applied to neck. One example stamped with maker's mark possibly for Bao Cheng (circa. early to mid 20th century). Height 15.5cm. Overall weight 8.3ozt (258.3g).
Condition Report:- Items are in fair condition, showing some general surfaces scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- One shows a notable bash to lower body, near base, with a few, smaller bashes nearby.
- Items are quite bright and shiny.
- Central band to bodies is stylistically rough in texture, so bumps and minor compressions to this area could be intended as part of design.
- Area below handles are darkly tarnished and with polish residue.
- One example is slightly wobbly on base. There is a slight compression to rim on this example. This example also shows a visible, vertical seam line from edge of rim to past handle, that appears rough and bumpy to interior of item.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
