Description

A George II silver waiter, with shell and scroll border, engraved crest to centre, and raised on three hoof feet. Hallmarked William Peaston, London 1753. Maximum diameter 18cm, weight 8.96ozt (278.8g).

Condition Report:

Appears very dirty and heavily tarnished all over and in need of a clean.
With numerous surface marks and scratches all over, and some nicks or pitting type marks.
Slight knocks to feet and solder is visible around the joins; but waiter stands firm on its feet.
Hallmarks located to base, these partly rubbed and a little distorted, but all still legible.
Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
