Description
A mid-Victorian silver jug, of bellied form with scrolled and cross-hatched borders above alternating acanthus leaf band to central body. Hallmarked Edward Pairpoint, London 1859. Height 13cm, weight 9.4ozt (293.4g)
Condition Report:- Item is in fair condition, showing some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Definition to engraving is very rubbed and lost to areas all over.
- Widest, lower area is quite bumpy and textured, with some deeper bashes.
- Gauge is thick.
- Silver is bright and shiny.
- Some bashes and deep nicks and dints to handle.
- Hallmarks are clear and legible.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
