Description
A late Victorian silver small drum mustard pot, with geometrically pierced body, hallmarked Haseler Brothers, London 1898, and another late Victorian example of bulbous oblong shape with gadroon decoration, hallmarked James Deakin & Sons, Chester 1896; together with three early 20th century silver mustard pots, comprising two octagonal sided and the third of bellied form, hallmarks for Chester 1912 and 1920 and Sheffield 1902, plus a 1930's silver cauldron open salt, Birmingham 1936, various maker's marks, and five assorted salt and mustard spoons, various dates and makers. All with blue glass liners. Total silver weight excluding liners 14.76ozt (459g).
Condition Report:
- Multiple item lot, all pieces displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.
- However all do appear in fairly good condition overall.
- Glass liners are likely not all original.
- Hallmarks are mostly clear and legible with rubbing to some parts.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
