Description
A 1930's silver pierced dish, the shaped rim with scrolled, lotus and cartouche pierced panels, between alternating acanthus leaf motif, raised upon four stepped feet. Hallmarked Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield 1938. Height 8cm, diameter 22cm, weight 17.5ozt (545.4g).
Condition Report:- Item is in fair condition, showing minor but general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- A few pierced details are bent and misshapen to piercing, visible on close inspection.
- Silver overall is bright and very shiny.
- Lobed recesses below pierced panels show dirt residue.
- Item wobbles on flat surface when pressure is exerted.
- Interior bowl shows some deeper scratches.
- Hallmarks are clear and legible.
