Description
A set of six George III silver teaspoons, hallmarked Peter & William Bateman, London 1809; plus a further silver hallmarked teaspoon and a plated Fiddle Pattern example, plus a pair of Victorian silver sugar tongs, hallmarked Thomas Smily, London 1861, all items decorated with monogram engraving. Overall silver weight 4ozt (124.3g).
Condition Report:- Items are in fair condition, showing some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Maker's mark to set of six is worn and rubbed, but just about legible to some examples.
- Singular silver teaspoon is missing Assay mark, and date mark is partially rubbed.
- Singular silver teaspoon is quite dull compared to set.
- Edge to one of the spoon bowl rims to the sugar tong is slightly bashed.
- Spoons are very slightly misaligned.
