Description

A 1930's silver mounted table cigarette box, the hinged lid having interlocking pattern border to rim and oval panel depicting embossed Poseidon, raising to reveal compartmented, wood lined interior, supported upon four feet modelled as sea creatures. Hallmarked Reid & Sons Ltd, London 1935. Length 18cm, gross weight 24.2ozt (755g).

Condition Report:

Item shows general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
Item would benefit from a clean and polish.
Hinged lid is compressed and dented to areas.
Decorative border to hinged lid shows thick polish residue, and is very slightly suspended from rim of central body.
Item wobbles very slightly on feet.
Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but clear and legible.
Gross weight is inclusive of all materials.
