Clean lined and hand constructed in France, sometime in the mid 60s, this elegant watch was sold by my friend Bill Ruser. Bill owned the premier store on Rodeo Drive in those days, on the corner of Rodeo and Dayton Way. The famous people of the era purchased from Bill who was a genuine and down to earth guy. Now that space is occupied by Van Cleef and Arpels. I grew up on Dayton Way, although on the poorer side of town.
The watch was originally purchased by Jerry Lewis who seldom wore it because it looks new and still has its original strap. Jerry had a penchant for buying small refined watches from all the local jewelers in Beverly Hills (I have three other watches owned by him as well). The watch has a beautiful solid gold catch with it. You can wear this sophisticated watch all the time for all sorts of events and it is very dependable.
