North Coast Peru, 800-500 BCE, Pre-Columbian. Surrealist terracotta stirrup head vessel depicting Duality - left side depicts a harpy eagle with square eye and high bushy eyebrows, while right side depicts a Bird of Prey with round eye and round bushy eyebrows. The mouth looks like the mouth of a fox-like creature. The rear of vessel is incised in a linear and spiral fashion.
