In a display box with a letter from The Arizona Pioneer's Home, Prescott, Arizona dated 1940 to Mr. C. J. Danner in Colorado Springs. "It is ..my duty to inform you that Mary Cathrine Cummings passed away?Ǫ?ǪShe is to be interred at the Pioneer Cemetery here in Prescott.......she left instructions with me to send you this frock coat....It had belonged to her friend, John H. Holliday, D.D.S., and was the very same that he wore in the Tombstone shooting incident. ......knowing how you advired it on your last visit, she wanted you to have it when whe separted this world. ....Sincerely, Gladys Beamon, Staff Assistant. The coat has a Joshua Samuels Atlanta Clothiers label. Mary Catherine Cummings was "Big Nosed Kate", who considered herself married to Doc Holliday.
