This Vintage c1950 mens 18th century costume features a frock coat made of black velvet with heavy metallic braid and knot work trim in silver and gold, decorative plastic silver tone buttons, white floral lace cuffs and black scalloped lace trim appliques on the cuffs. As well as classic 18th century details, such as oversized cuffs 2 faux pockets, and tails. The coat is lined in a light blue rayon and the tails are lined in a silver lame. Also included is a coordinating vest in black and silver damask with decorative silver tone buttons snap faux button closures as well as applied machine embroidered borders in a leaf and vine motif. The vest is backed by a smaller black and silver damask print and has a lace up closure at the back. There is also a pair of black satin britches with an elastic waist and both decorative and functional button closures at the knee. Laying flat the coat measures: shoulders 18'', 21.5'', sleeve 27'', length 40''. The vest measures :22'', length 37''. Britches: waist 14'' to 2'' , length 28'' inseam 17.5'' knee opening 8''. The set is in good/fair condition with a tear on the left sleeve, stains on the white lace cuffs, wear/fraying to the silver and gold trim, fairly heavy stained lining. The vest is in good/fair condition with fraying at the neck, as well as a crunchy elastic tie at the back. The britches are in good to fair condition with 1 missing button on the right leg, and stretched out button closures at the knee. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
