Paris: Arthus Bertrand, [1829-1833]. 3 works in 3 volumes. 8vo., (9 2/8 x 5 4/8 inches). 218 fine coloured-printed, hand-finished engraved plates by Coutant and Teillard after A.G. Bevalet and J.G. Pretre. Later fine English binding of full green morocco gilt, all edges gilt. Provenance: with the engraved armorial bookplate of Richard Griffin, 3rd Baron Braybrooke, from his library at Audley End; with the pencilled inscription on each first blank of each volume of Evrard Bourlon de Rouvre, his sale Paris, 22 May 1980, lot 109. First editions, and an attractive set.

Condition

With some light spotting, mainly to the preliminaries and text leaves. Spines lightly sunned.
