Two presentation speaking trumpets, 19th century, comprising a possibly coin silver trumpet stamped "S.T. Holloway 10-15", with repousse insignia of ladders, fire hooks, axe and helmet surrounded by vines, lower section engraved, "Presented to Pioneer Hook and Ladder by Their Friends Nov 4th 1854", together with a larger silver plate trumpet with similar decoration, lower section engraved, "Presented to the Neptune Engine Co. No 2 of Scranton, PA by the Good Will Engine Co - No 3 of Allentown, PA Oct 5th 1899." Smaller: 18" high, 6 7/8" diameter; Larger: 23 3/4" high, 8 3/4" diameter. Condition: silver trumpet with crumpling below mouthpiece, other with plate wear, loss.
