TERRESTRIAL GLOBE COVERED DISH, colorless, Columbia head finial. Fourth quarter 19th century. 8" d base overall, 4 3/4" h base, 5 3/4" d lid, 9 1/2" h overall.

Catalogue Note: An extremely rare and iconic example of American Historical pressed glass that has survived in outstanding condition.

Condition

Amazingly well preserved, minor roughness on tip of finial, minimal mold roughness under lid, base has two flat flakes, two minute flakes and an open bubble on the flange.
