Description
Grouping of Plains Indian pouches and child moccasins. 1st item - Beaded retangular pouch with arrow border and interior geometric designs on both sides, beaded bottom fringe, beaded carrying strap. 10 1/4" length from top of strap to bottom of fringe, 4 1/8" width. Early 20th century. 2nd item - Beaded circular purse consisting of circular bulls eye patterns on both sides (possibly for a pocket watch), leather ties. 3 1/2" length. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 3rd item - Beaded Plains Indian child moccasins with blue, red, and white geometric designs. 6 1/2" length. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance - Descendants of the estate of Madge Hardin Walters, early 20th century collector and dealer of Native American and author of Early Days and Indian Ways, Westernlore Press, 1956.
Condition
1st item - Overall excellent condition. 2nd item - Overall excellent condition. 3rd item - leather is rigid/dried out. All beads appear intact.
