We are very pleased to offer this gorgeous Fenton Art Glass Silver Crest + Spanish Lace pattern, in the form of this stunning collar base, double crimped deep serving bowl (Fenton Ware No. #3524-SC), introduced in 1968, and produced to ca. 1980. The original Opalescent Spanish Lace pattern is credited to Northwood Glass ca. 1904-1905, and is one of the truly collectible patterns. This Fenton low relief exterior mold is exceptionally crisp, and the Silver Crest appears on the ruffled rim. Our magnificent bowl features a plain base, denoting a pre-1973 (Fenton Logo), 1968 to 1972 production. Our wonderful bowl is in Excellent Plus condition and weighs 2# 10 oz. while measuring a prominent 9.5 x 9.5 x 4.25 inches deep. The current list of this lovely Fenton collectible is between $65 & $75. xxxxxxxxxxxx.The widely sold plain Fenton Silver Crest line replaced the Crystal Crest in 1942. The smallest and highly collectible Silver Crest line was finished in the classic Spanish Lace relief exterior pattern. First introduced in 1962 with the 11 inch footed cake plate, the line only ever produced (12) separate forms, with new forms introduced in 1965, 1968, 1973, 1975 & 1976. Virtually all the forms (excepting the #3508 SC footed Shaker retired in 1970) survived until ca. 1980-1982. There were also Silver Crest Violets in the Snow + Spanish Lace, Sears Roebuck & Co. contract Country Rose Bouquet sometimes with the interior crest gilded, and the Prolific Charleton Line hand painted floral Silver Crest & Spanish Lace items.
