This is an Art Deco antique W.D. Allison medical doctor's cabinet / storage. It measures 29" X 17" X 38.5". The model type is 1930 and the serial number is X784. This wonderful piece of medical doctor's furniture is from an OB / GYN OBGYN office from the 1930's and 40's to which we recently acquired all of the tools, equipment, instruments and furniture. There is a nice black glass top working surface that sits on this unit. The wood is all solid. Towards the back of the top working surface there is a small compartment that, when opened, elevates a small shelf from within. The handles are made from metal and are round, lending a great art deco appeal. There is also a small metal strip on the side, from which you may hang tools, utensils or towels. All drawers and doors operate perfectly. The wood is in good shape. The finish could use to be sanded down and recoated. This piece of furniture is amazingly versatile and will fit most any room in the home. There is no date on the piece, but I believe it to be 1940's.
