Description
American, circa 1910, a solidly built, all original, open front house with rear and side windows that add further architectural interest to this house with a deeply pitched roof and protruding base with steps; The interior has nicely stained wood flooring and a staircase in the living room that leads to the hallway on second floor which has entries to each of the 3 upper rooms. The windows have period appropriate green half shades and cafe curtains. The kitchen has wooden salt boxes and baking rack attached to the walls. This house, as Mrs. Jacobs notes in Antique Dolls' Houses, Flora Gill Jacobs © 2005 on pages 81-82 was originally known as the ÒThe Patrick House. It later became known as the ÒThe Edison House" due to the lighting system with the early pointed tip incandescent bulbs. The furnishings as primarily pictured will be offered in the next 9 lots.
