A large Villanovan Impasto Ware handled bowl, Italic, 8th Century BC, an incised geometric pattern around the outside of the rim and a spiked device above “U-cut” rings around the foot. The handle is almost triangular, the facing edge with ridges, a horizontal ridge ending with vertical ridge on either side. A pleasing example with nicely burnished surfaces and attractive incised decoration. H: 4 7/8 in (12.4 cm); W: 8 ¼ in (20.9 cm). Intact with minor chipping to rim and foot.
