Description

Very rare, one of 600 martially marked carbines made with Maynard primer. Matching serial No. 18778. Barrel marked US Inspector J.H. Gun is all original with mint bore. Most were issued to the first California and second Texas Dragoons. Metal has nice, even mottled patina with some very light, scattered pitting. Wood shows typical age and use wear with no cracks or breaks. Barrel length 20 1/4"
