William F. Buckley (1925-2008) Conservative author, commentator. Buckley founded the political magazine National Review in 1955, which had a major impact in stimulating the conservative movement. He also hosted the television show Firing Line from 1966 until 1999, where his public persona was famous for a wide vocabulary. He also wrote a nationally syndicated newspaper column, and wrote numerous spy novels. His book, Stained Glass, Doubleday and Company, 1978, signed on the first title page, in red ink “Cordially Wm. F. Buckley.†Modest wear to the dust jacket, small tear at the spine, overall very good.
