Thermoplastic Ward's Collar Boxes, Plus

American. Two wooden collar boxes with thermoplastic lids, one with a central medallion of a memorial to George Washington, the other with a central medallion of a ship, both marked Ward's, PLUS a round tin snuff box marked Compagnie Generale Transatlantique above a band of seagulls, having a hinged lid with a picture of an ocean liner, the lid pops open when equal pressure is applied to both sides of the box, the bottom decorated with an American and a French flag flanking a lifesaver inscribed C.G.T. / Havre; collar boxes ht. 3.25, wd. 4.75, dp. 4.75 in.

Provenance: From the Estate of Kenneth Erwin, Portland, Michigan

Condition

Collar boxes in good condition with minor scuffs to surfaces. Snuff box with surface wear and paint loss with a few small spots of surface rust.
