Signed by two of the founders of the Weather Underground "[Peace Sign] With hope - Bill Ayers," and further Dohrn signs: "and imagination Bernardine Dohrn." In the summer of 1969 the two were part of the committee leading the formation of the Weather Underground, an anti-war, anti-US imperialism organization. Weather Underground arose simultaneously with the dismantling of the SDS, the Students for a Democratic Society, and their goal was to destroy US imperialism and achieve a classless world. The Weathermen employed a series of bombings in 1969-1970 to spread their message. They were also responsible for springing Timothy Leary out of prison. This booklet is the political statement of the Weather Underground, a crystallization of five years of work organizing and protesting, documented here and distributed to mobilize more members. One of the most important political statements to arise from 1960s political activism. This is a slightly later printing. The earlier printing is in all red wrappers printed in black, and with the Red Dragon Print Collective symbol on rear wrapper.
