Limited Edition Size: AP50. __________Artist Biography: Anatoly Metlan was born in 1964 in Yalta, situated in the Ukraine by the Black Sea.His artistic parents gave Metlan a paintbrush and paints, which yielded many successful experiments. He was particularly attracted to the Impressionists and their use of color, space and texture. He spent many years perfecting his personal technique, but never forgot the influence of the Impressionists, which he loved as a boy.In 1985 he completed his high school studies at a school for the arts and was subsequently admitted to Krivoi Rog University in the south of the Ukraine. During these years he exhibited extensively and built a solid name for himself as a respected artist. In 1989 he was accepted into the Ukrainian Artists Guild. As soon as the “Iron Curtain” was opened in the USSR, Metlan and his family made the decision to immigrate to Israel.Since that time, Metlan has exhibited in one-man and group shows worldwide. During the summer seasons he travels to Europe and particularly enjoys visiting the villages in France and Italy from which he receives his inspiration.
